High School Musical turned 10 this January, so in addition to feeling old, we all went through a heavy nostalgia wave. Who could resist reminiscing over Troy and Gabriella meeting at the ski lodge, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens' audition tape, and basically everything else in between? In fact, the only thing we didn't have was what we all really, really wanted: another installment in the franchise.

Wait no longer: High School Musical 4 is happening. Like, for real.

Disney confirmed that they'll be rebooting the franchise, not only introducing us to a whole new crop of Wildcats (because, let's face it: Zac and Vanessa are a little too old to convincingly come back as high school students, and anyway, Troyella went off to college already) but also bringing along East High's rivals, the West High Knights, to the musical masterpiece.

President Gary Marsh told E! News, "High School Musical is part of Disney Channel's DNA. It embodies all that we stand for. As a way of continuing to embrace that heritage, we're excited to announce 'the start of something new' as we launch a search for a new class of East High Wildcats to star in a fourth installment of the 'High School Musical' franchise."

So basically, if you need us, we'll be holding out that some of the original Wildcats make cameo appearances — come on, we're sure Sharpay could totally be a drama teacher — but also practicing our high notes. They said they're searching for new stars, right? We're ready for our close-up, Mickey Mouse.
