Colorful releases GF8600GT 256M DDR3 HD with HDMI connection

These days, Colorful launched a HD (high definition) multimedia graphic card--GF8600GT 256M DDR3 HD, which supports the already famous HDCP and HDMI. It is based on 80nm process, with 6 layers of PCB.

GF8600GT 256M DDR3 HD is a middle-end graphic card of the GeForce8 series. Its core clock is up to 540MHz. It has 4 GDDR3 memory, at the standard of 256MB/128bit. Memory default clock is up to 1400MHz. It features SLI technology. The unified processor is capable of being dynamically allocated to vertex, pixel, geometry, or physics operations for the utmost efficiency in GPU resource allocation, which is as much as twice performance improvement than the old generation graphics card in games.
It completely supports DirectX 10 & Shader Model 4.0, and delivering unprecedented high quality performances. The performance is extremely realistic, that make you even can't find differences from reality and the game!

GF8600GT 256M DDR3 HD offers HDMI output + DVI output. The HDMI can be directly connected to high definition television, and provide you more vivid video. And the DVI utilizes Dual-Link DVI to support high-definition wide screen with 2560x1600 resolutions for wider viewing displays. Moreover, Colorful offers an HDMI->DVI commutator, so this graphic card can also support 2 x DVI.

Kind of ugly looking. Why not launch something like this on the 8800GTS or 8800GTX or hell even the ultra?

NOt the point....

The point is most people that will buy this card...want something kind of cheap(which isn't the 8800s) and they want a HDMI port for their HD/Tvs.

Lower end cards out sell higher end cards.
