Daniel Craig is still channelling James Bond style

Despite hanging up his tux, Daniel Craig is still being spotted in fits worthy of a place in her Majesty's Secret Service

Back in 2019 Daniel Craig shot his last scene as James Bond at Pinewood Studios, for the then yet-to-be-released No Time To Die. It was a blow for the fans he'd won over since he took the role on in 2006 for a record-breaking run (five movies spanning 13 years) that breathed new life into the character. Not only did he give the secret agent a broodingly cool after the lighter touch of his predecessor Pierce Brosnan, but he also managed to elevate 007's style.

Craig's iteration of the spy wore big covetable brands including Tom Ford (heavy-duty top coats), Brioni and Brunello Cucinelli (perfectly-tailored suiting). Indeed, Craig's personal wardrobe became aligned with that of his onscreen counterpart and he channeled 007 whenever he hit the red carpet – figure-hugging tuxedos worthy of a place in Her Majesty's Secret Service (or just the presence of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge) and grey houndstooth linen suits from the aforementioned Cucinelli.

And rather surprisingly, despite having given up the role – the new James Bond is yet to be revealed – Craig is still sort of channeling Ian Fleming's world-famous character. Case in point: the 54-year old has just been photographed outside the Cheval Blanc hotel in Paris shooting scenes for alcohol brand Belvedere's upcoming (shaken, not stirred) advertising campaign, but you'd be forgiven for thinking it's an outtake from an upcoming Bond flick.

Stomping the streets of Paris' first arrondissement, Craig flexes his acting chops in a très chic all-black-errythang fit comprising a boxy leather jacket akin to those seen on the catwalks of Saint Laurent, black scoop neck vest, waist-cinched, black baggy slacks, leather tassel loafers, a pair of blacked-out shades and a silver chain necklace. It's the sort of sexed-up look we'd have loved to have seen Bond slip into for a night fighting crime at a Berlin speakeasy. Who knows: maybe we'll see that in Bond 26.
