A polydesmid millipede
There are several species of Polydesmus in the UK, but they can only be distinguished by careful examination of their genitalia. They live amongst vegetation and leaf litter in woodlands and gardens. I found several of these, all about 10-12mm long, in my garden. They are quite lively, so difficult to get in a good position to photograph
