In September, it will be 25 years since Friends first debuted on television screens.

Yet for Jennifer Aniston, aka Rachel Karen Green, she still misses working on the show that made her a household name 15 years after its ended.

'I started to find my confidence when I was on Friends, for sure,' the actress reflected to InStyle. 'In a way, being on that show was the ultimate trust exercise. There was comfort in numbers there so we all held each other up.

'I miss a lot about that time. Having a job that was absolute, pure joy. I miss getting to be with people I love massively and respect beyond words. So, yes, these days I'm super nostalgic. Anything can make me go, "Aww."'

It seems the feeling among the cast is mostly mutual. In May, Courteney Cox, who still remains best friends with Aniston, shared a throwback picture of the cast on a plane heading to Las Vegas before the show aired on a bonding exercise, which Aniston also spoke about in her interview.

'When Friends began, we were all so wide-eyed and bushy-tailed,' she said. 'We couldn't believe what was happening and we had no idea what was coming. On Instagram, Courteney recently posted an old photo of us all on a jet together before the show even aired. I just remember not understanding that this was my life. The level of gratitude, my god.'

As the Friends cast reflects on their pastime drinking coffee in Central Perk and running frantically around actual Central Park - though, spoiler, it's the Warner Bros movie set in Los Angeles, not actually New York - the speculation of a possible reunion lingers.

Aniston has previously said, during an appearance on The Ellen Show, 'anything is a possibility... I mean George Clooney got married. Anything can happen' when quizzed on a potential reunion. However, other former cast members, mainly the male actors like Matthew Perry, Matt Le Blanc and David Schwimmer have expressed doubt about visiting the six friends while in their fifties.
