Recommended tools:

  • Table saw
  • Tapering jig (Free plans) or you could draw tapers and cut them with a jigsaw. 
  • Pocket hole jig
  • Jigsaw for cutting the curves
  • Sander 
  • Router, if you want to add an edge profile on the boards. You could also ease over the sharp edges with a sander.  
  • Drill and driver
