Named after the often ornately carved aftmost rail on a ship’s stern, this snuggly cowl/infinity scarf will keep those brisk sea breezes in check. It can be worked in any soft fingering weight that knits to the appropriate gauge.

The lace pattern for the body of the cowl is presented in chart form.
