Description
Abundantly produced lavender blooms are so purple they almost glow. These medium sized blossoms are produced on long, dainty stems. They have highly reflexed petals, and deep purple filaments. Passiflora ‘La Morellina’ is a moderately vigorous, small to medium sized, dark green vine with 3 lobed leaves that is well suited to containers. It will also do well planted in the ground in warm climates. Additionally, you could try planting this vine with the contrasting yellow citrina for an extra pop of color in your patio containers.
You should definitely plant this vine in full sun to get the most blooms. It will tolerate partial shade at the expense of fewer blooms.

What does hardiness zone 10 mean?
It means that this Passiflora is not cold tolerant and requires protection from freezing temperatures. If you are growing it outdoors, bring it inside once temperatures start regularly dipping below 50 degrees. Freezing temperatures will kill it.
