DB9 Female Connector Overview:

The DB9 Female Connector provides a right angle PCB-mounted jack that accepts a standard RS-232 serial cable or USB-to-Serial adapter. This provides for a solid, optionally bolted, connection from a PCB to a host for serial communication. It uses a standard, interleaved 9-pin solder hole pattern that fits boards like those in the BASIC Stamp 2 OEM and BASIC Stamp 2sx OEM kits.
