I’m happy to announce that Rain World: Downpour, the DLC for Rain World, is coming to Playstation 4 + 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox on July 11th!

Rain World is a survival platform where you follow a slugcat trying to get back to their family while they are avoiding the hazards that the ecosystem puts in their way. Being one tier above the bottom of the food chain, they must hunt for food, dodge predators, and find shelters that will be safe from the incoming “bullet rain.”

Rain World: Downpour brings five new playable slugcats, each with different abilities to traverse through over 1,000 new rooms, and explore the ruins of a civilization abandoned long ago and left to erode from the devastating rain. Each slugcat has their own unique story and mysteries behind them.

Coming with these new slugcats, is challenge mode, which gives you 70 different scenarios to each with different goals to complete like getting a certain amount of points, taming a lizard, killing certain creatures, etc.

Safari mode gives you the power to control the different creatures from the powerful red lizards where you can decimate the ecosystem to the feeble lantern mice where you can hang from the ceiling to glow. You can also just relax and examine the ecosystem without worrying about your slugcat dying or having player interference. Learn how the different creatures interact with each other and in different situations.

Also included in the DLC is Expedition Mode which changes the goal of Rain World to complete objectives instead of completing the story. Use your knowledge of the map to find and complete different milestones per run. You can unlock perks to add to your slugcat, music for the jukebox, burdens, and more for the different objects you complete! 

Jolly coop which brings your friends with you in your campaigns with local coop. No longer will you have to suffer the harsh environment alone. Combine your slugcat abilities to survive the hazards of the ecosystem of the destroyed ruins.
