The slithery little creatures who shed skin and hiss on every human in sight are feared by all. And rightfully so! After all, one hiss or bite and that will be the last one you see. We are talking about the venomous snakes we find on Earth and here we list the deadliest of them.

Known as one of the most venomous snakes to ever exist, the Inland Taipan is native to Australia and its venom is lethal. The venom of Inland Taipan is capable of causing systemic collapse and seizures within minutes.

Found mostly in the waters of Southeast Asia and Northern Australia, this sea serpent’s venom is powerful enough to claim the lives of numerous individuals. However, these snakes are generally docile, keeping to their ocean habitat, away from human interaction.

Another deadly snake from Australia is the Coastal Taipan. The venom of the Coastal Taipan causes rapid paralysis and internal bleeding in the victim. It is known for its speed and aggression when threatened.

One of Africa’s most fearsome snakes, the Black Mamba, is known for its lightning-fast strikes and dangerous venom. Despite its name, this snake’s color is more of an olive to grayish hue. The Black Mamba’s venom attacks the nervous system which leads to immediate death.

Found mostly in Australia, Tiger Snake is known for its aggressive behavior when confronted by humans. Its venom can cause immediate paralysis and respiratory failure, but the person can be cured with the anti-venom.

Another one among the sea snakes, the Dubois' has venom that can swiftly kill its victim. Although its bite is rare due to its deep-sea habitat, the venom holds considerable danger to humans if encountered during deep sea dives.
