Jin Akanishi and Meisa Kuroki announce divorce

26 Dec - Jin Akanishi and Meisa Kuroki made the decision to announce their divorce on Christmas Day.

As reported on Oricon, on 25 December, the celebrity couple shared the news via Instagram Stories, with Meisa posting, "My husband and I have decided to change our partnership and go our separate ways as husband and wife. Our family will continue to be our top priority, and as parents, we will continue to do so."

"As close friends, we will build a new type of partnership with even more love," she added.

The couple also expressed hope that the media will refrain from interviewing family members, relatives, and other related parties.

The former KAT-TUN member and the actress tied the knot in February 2012 after being together for six years. They welcomed their first daughter Theia in the same year, and then a son in 2017.
