    Form- Is placed on a high pedestal.
    Function- Is a temple for the God Vishnu.
    Content- The inner sanctum of the main temple is surrounded by an ambulatory.
    Context- This temple was built in the mature period of Hindu temple building that took place during the Chandela dynasty.
    Tradition- The temple sits on a Jagati, which is similar to the Greek use of a stylobate.
    Interpretation- The temple is said to be designed to entice the God to be entertained.
    Artistic Intent-The sensual carvings are related to tantric Hindu beliefs.
    Audience response- worshippers move in a clockwise circle around the temple

    Function: Used the temple for cultural events and festivals.
    Content:Sensuous figures with revealing clothing
    Context: Found in Khajuharo, India
    Tradition:Use of ashlar masonry
    Interpretation: This temple was a way to spread cultural values
    Artistic Intent:Yasovarman sought to build a temple to legitimize his rule over the territories
    Audience Response: People would go there in times of sin, meditation, or to ask for help.
